Curiosity and human nature
The death of the deer that was a mother figure for Hayy bn Haqzan triggered something in Hayy that changed who he was forever and from it emerged the true human nature of the boy who was raised with animals. He did not accept her death so the rational thing was for him to investigate and try to fix her at the end when he found out that she could not be fixed he wanted to know what stopped her. So, what he did was to observe all creatures around him then either wait for them to die or kill them in order for him to research and to find out more. The curiosity that took over him was trigged by one event yet it never stopped growing from there. This might be related to the fact that humans in their nature are never satisfied or content and that is why they keep growing intellectually. Where would we be without the need to ask why and how? The basic thing that we don’t understand provokes us to dig deeper and that is how we reach new conclusions, this is how we discover and this is how sometimes we find God. Curiosity might be the factor that leads us to find the truth behind how nothing in this universe is simple and that the most pure drop of water is so complex that it shows a wonder in its making. Things that are taken for granted usually like breathing are unexplained and no matter how big and powerful man is he can’t control the most simple of activities performed by his own body. Curiosity opens one’s eyes to the fact that nothing is random and all of nature is connected to us and us to her somehow. Curiosity is human nature. It’s essential to its growth and continuum.
