Unfortunatly, I was not able to attend the second week of class but from seeing other blogs i can tell you guys finished watching  My Name is Khan. I have already seen the film and personally I think Shahrukh Khan played a great role for portraying the world views of Islam.

I see that we are now learning about Prophet Muhammad.Learning about the Prophet Muhammad is always very interesting. From previous knowledge I know that he played a big part in spreading the religion of Islam. Between him and Jesus Christ they both had some things alike. They both were persecuted as they tried to spread the word of God.  Muhammad was exiled to Medina while Jesus was crucified. Both religions are monotheist which means there is only one Superior god.

I have a decent amount of islamic friends and one of them taught me what mA and iA stood for. I always saw these abreveations on facebook and i always wondered what they meant. He told me that mA meant mashallah which means praise to god and he told me iA means inshallah which means hoping something good happens in the future.

In response to lightgreen111 it is nice to see that outside of Pakistan islam is being spread all throughout the world. Islam is already known as the second most spread religion throughout the world and it is nice to see others practicing a religion that trys to bring peace and honor to everyone.
