In class we continued talking about Muhammad’s life and the events that occurred. Also had a class discussion on what we would do if we felt that our lives were in danger. Most of the class participated and gave back some BS answers lol, saying they would fight back if they were to be robbed ( I highly doubt that ). But also we talked about the 10 year treaty Muhammad formed with the Quryash and the conversion to Islam.

Chapter four of Brown’s Hadith, the criticism of the Shiite hadith is explained. The transmitters and people’s outlook on them were part of the reason why there was some criticism.  The problem starts when they are trying to determine what people are “True” and what are “Not-True or Fake”. And the Shiites tried to show that they are the real deal by being “the party of truth”.

I found this article online that Muslim Culture Researchers in China’s northwestern Gansu provence have found a chinese version of the Qur’an hand written in 1912. To me this goes to show how powerful and moving this religion was and still is. To be found in Asia is huge because Asian religions are very important their and you wouldn’t find too many Muslims. What do you guys think of that?

In response to almtek comment  on the tension build up between Iran and Israel, I think that the US should not engage in this unless Israel really needs some support. Because the US does not need anymore tension with foreign countries than it already has.
