In class we discussed more about Muhammad’s Journey.  I am becoming more and more interested in all of the things he has accomplished.  The similarities between him and Jesus are uncanny.  The one difference that we did learn about was that Muhammad was given the option by God to use violence and protect his people.  We talked about the pros and cons of that.

All three readings this week were interesting.  They were on the Hadith.  I am finding the Islamic faith more inviting as I we interpret and read more about the information.  I am beginning to see why so many people follow it religiously.  And I am actually starting to see how many people can misunderstand or misinterpret the meanings.

Today, at work I got in an argument over being pro-choice or against abortion.  On point that my coworker brought up was that neither side would give up any aspect of their argument because it would be the end of the argument.  I thought that this sounded a lot like the Sunni and Shiate faiths.

In response to thedarkloard: I could not find the person that you were responding to, but that is outrageous.  The fact that the NYPD can get away with that is exactly what is wrong with the Patriot Act.  I am actually very upset with myself for not seeing this article before.  But none the less, I am appalled.
