IN class we learned about Muhammad banning the Qurash then his battles with them.  Then we talked about his peaceful march on Mecca.  I thought that it was interesting that God gave Muhammad rules for fighting.

The quizzes are very helpful for understanding the readings.  These readings delve further into the hadith.  I learned that it is one of the reasons that the Sunni and Shi’a are different.

This week in Islam, the NYPD has been screening student groups in schools across the north eastern schools.  It is appaling that these students cannot be innocent until proven guilty.  They are screened merely for their religion.

thethingstheycarried728 I liked what you had to say about the US government and and the military official having conflicting feelings about the United States’ burning of the Qur’an.  Im sure that every religion ha its fair share of passages that could be taken as extremeist.
