Last week in class we had a lecture about Islamic spirituality and different levels of consciousness.  The three levels were Islam, Iman, and Ihsan.  These levels basically defined how much God is incorporated into every moment of their lives.  We also talked about Muslim prayer during different types of the year.  We talked about the different prayers, songs, and positions to pray in.  We then got onto topic about how prayer could become more of a meaningless habit if a person loses concentration during daily prayer, and the different measures to make sure that doesn’t happen.

This week on CNN.com I read an article that continued to talk about the protests and power shifts in Egypt.  The Muslim Brotherhood is now protesting to denounce Suleiman, a man running for President in Egypt.  The protests are also against former prime minister being allowed to be a candidate.  They call it an insult to their revolution and if either is elected they will be back to square one in Egypt.
